Reflection
Hope and Comfort in Jesus, the Life
2 min read
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies. Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”John 11:25-26
Jesus says that he is the resurrection and the life. He promises that those who believe in him will live even if they die. His question—do you believe this?—still speaks to each of us.
This hope sustains us amid worries at home, pressure at work, life far away as a migrant, and the challenges of illness or exams. Death is real, yet faith in Jesus gives us confidence in the life God offers beyond it.
In this month when we remember the departed, let us pray for those we love and stand with those who grieve. Today, let us renew our faith and move forward with hope.
A moment to reflect
- In what part of my life do I most need Jesus’ promise of life?
- What can I do today to stand with someone who is grieving and offer hope?
Closing prayer
Lord God, thank you for giving us the hope of life in Jesus. Grant eternal rest to the departed and comfort those who grieve.
